The man who put in suspense peace in Latin America, which endorsed continued repressive massacres in the name of peace ever wanted, who did his utmost to thwart the efforts of our Cro. Nestor Kirchner at the head of the operation in Colombia hostage rescue and could not after his attainment of peace between that country and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela as President of UNASUR, the same Alvaro Uribe Velez, intended insult to the Nobel Peace Prize Adolfo Pérez Ezquivel.

This makes absolutely and totally repugnant miserable and treacherous attack against one who knew how to receive credit for their global struggle for the peace and justice for which many fought and fought all our lives, in words that are only demonstration of the same neo-liberal conception that so much damage has been done to the world.
However, I affirm my total and absolute rejection of the figure of Alvaro Uribe Velez and his constant demonstrations against the welfare of the people, expressing my deep sympathy Cro. Adolfo Perez Esquivel in their ongoing struggle.
