WORK AGAINST SMOKING FREEDOMS AND HYPOCRISY

Smoking is a slow suicide: that is a scientifically proven fact. The smoker can continue with your addiction if you want: it is also true. Individual freedom is fundamental in our democracy: do not argue. The freedom of the individual ends where the other begins, too. Put it another way: I do not smoke, I hate to throw me smoke in my face when I go to drink in a bar, you're burning my health almost like yours, then you have no right to smoke in front of me. It's that simple.

And here, in my humble opinion, is just the debate over freedom of the individual to smoke or not smoke. Freedom is probably the most prostituted value of our contemporary history, and has returned to play with freedom again in the discussion of the anti snuff. It is a just law, not against anyone, will please not only those who do not smoke but who wants to take up smoking. Not only are we talking about individual liberties, but public health. The law also goes against the bars. Nobody is going to close the bar smoking ban. I think people like going out with friends, only to be to get in the door five minutes to figure out the "chute" of nicotine.

And one last thing: many hypocrites who speak of freedom in the media comparing it to punish the lungs are often smeared by powerful multinational tobacco companies, the same addictive adding extra items to each of the cigarettes they sell, the same as condition the media, the same that fund associations defending the rights of smokers ... Are we talking about hypocrisy when the state collects taxes from the sale of snuff? Maybe. What the snuff is a legal drug worse than other illegal drugs? Maybe. But that has nothing to do with a law of snuff that benefits the vast majority of citizens. Smoking, leave now ...

Incidentally, for those who want more information, ignoring pundits who know everything and columnists interested this is the anti snuff as posted on the BOE. Just like that.
